
Organized in 1922 and incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 1953, the Georgia Academy of Science continues to grow in size and academic strength. The interests of Academy members encompass all aspects of science and that interest is expressed through participation in one or more of the following sections:

Mission Statement
The Academy is dedicated to the promotion of science education and the fostering of scientific research in the state of Georgia. To that end we publish the Georgia Journal of Science and hold annual scientific meetings that emphasize the presentation of undergraduate and graduate research.
